Himachal Pradesh was declared full-fledged state on 25th January 1971. The state of Himachal Pradesh is bordered by Tibet on the east, Punjab on the west, Haryana on the south-west and by Uttarakhand on the south-east. True to its name, Himachal Pradesh is a land of mountains, snow and valleys. Tourism, agriculture, handicrafts and hydroelectric power projects are main contributors of state’s economy.
