Guchi is a highly prized wild mushroom in culinary world and is found in the forests of Kinnaur (HP). Guchi is an excellent food to add to your diet as it is known to have medicinal properties and is rich in nutrients. It’s almost impossible to grow it commercially and is hard to find. Maybe that’s why it comes at a luxury price; sometimes whopping INR 12,000/Kg.
Normally these are sun dried by threading like a necklace.
Before cooking you need to soak them for a while in water and use the same water to make curry.
