Itinerary
Day 1: – Giri Homestay
You can reach Powari by crossing the ropeway near Powari Bus Stop or by crossing the Shontong Bridge over the Satluj. Try crossing via ropeway to treat yourself with some adventure and adrenaline rush. The ropeway needs to be pulled by hand and the sight of mighty Satluj flowing down below and smashing against the huge boulders with roar is thrilling.
It will take around 40 min by walk or 15 min by vehicle to reach Giri Homestay. Refreshments will be served at request. Admire the beauty of mountains and get yourself prepared for next day trek. Dinner & overnight stay is at Giri Homestay.
Day 2: – Basecamp – Malling Khatta (Near Ganesh Park)
After breakfast head towards Malling Khatta(adjacent to Ganesh Park). It’s a 6 hour steep incline and trailing through it you will encounter deodar trees, stream and orchards. Visitor registration will be done by HP Govt. administration (if required).
Overnight stay and dinner will be at Giri Camps (Malling Khatta)
Day 3: – Malling Khatta to Kinner Kailash
It’s better to head early towards Kinner Kailash as sometimes it gets cloudy and too dark on the way back. Breakfast will be served early morning. Again it’s a steep climb of 2-3 hours and then a descent. 2 more hours trek and you will reach Parvati Kund. Snacks(boiled potatoes, dry fruits) will be served. Rest a while here and head for 1-2 hours steep incline to reach Kinner Kailash.
Worship Lord Shiva and feel closer to divinity. Admire the view around and head back towards Giri Camps at Malling Khatta.
Day 4: – Malling Khatta to Giri Homestay
Head out for Giri Homestay after breakfast. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Giri Homestay.
Day 5: – Back Home
Head back to home after breakfast. By the time you are back to modern conveniences you will have plenty of stories to share with your friends and folks.
